Whenever you cast a creature spell, if {S} of any of that spell's colors was spent to cast it, that creature enters with an additional +1/+1 counter on it. ({S} is mana from a snow source.)

Cast trigger fires even if counteredWatch Out
This triggers when the spell is cast, before it resolves. Even if the spell is countered, the cast trigger still resolves. Copies of spells are not cast, so they won't trigger this.
